After a brief rest, the Lord's Resistance Army under Joseph Kony has slaughtered more defenceless civilians in displaced camps in northern Uganda. In Pagak on 16 May, the rebels clubbed at least 20 people to death, say the Uganda People's Defence Forces; there were more like 40 dead, say the United Nations. On 20 May, in Lukodi north of Gulu, the LRA left over 40 people dead and displaced, again, 7,000 more. The LRA often follows quiet periods, which give people a false sense of security, with sudden and brutal onslaughts....
