A spate of attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army over the last two months on the region around Yei in Southern Sudan has put the international focus back on the LRA. Alongside its statements on the situation in Darfur the United Nations Security Council on 27 March asked for recommendations on how best to tackle the LRA, which continues to murder and abduct civilians in northern Uganda.
