The campaign for a fourth, so far unconstitutional, five-year term for President Sam Nujoma is increasingly orchestrated. It ranges from support from an influential group of Herero traditional leaders to text messages to mobile telephone subscribers. Opponents of a leadership bid by Foreign Affairs Minister Hidipo Hamutenya fear that his victory would mean domination by the largest Oshivambo sub-group, the Kwanyama.
