The Sudan Liberation Movement faction of Abdel Wahed Mohamed Ahmed el Nur boycotted this month's Arusha talks. This matters because it is the second largest military group and though his links to the over two million internally displaced people are often weak, he has proved he can mobilise IDPs through his allies in the camps. He wants SLM faction leaders and fighters back in an SLM under him.
