New developments in the investigations into Nigeria's $US10 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project on Bonny Island could have serious political ramifications in Washington and Abuja. Britain's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is soon to launch a prosecution for money laundering of Jeffrey Tesler, the British lawyer at the centre of the illegal payments system on the LNG gas contract, according to a source close to the investigation (AC Vol 46 No 15).
