Sonangol intends to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange by 2010, according to Chief Executive Manuel Vicente. In February 2006, he mentioned this intention, adding that some of Sonangol's subsidiaries would also be listed on a future Angolan stock exchange. Under discussion for some years, this exchange was supposed to be launched in the first quarter of 2008 but Deputy Prime Minister Aguinaldo Jaime recently said it had been pushed back to the end of the year. Vicente made it clear that Sonangol EP, the holding company, would go for the New York listing....
