Fierce debate over who wins most from free trade led to a trade agreement with the European Union

Twelve years of hard negotiation have at last produced a trade agreement between the European Union and the Economic Community of West African States. It is due to be approved by an Ecowas summit in Yamoussoukro on 27-28 February.
