In his first official visit since the initiation of diplomatic relations between Equatorial Guinea and Thailand in 1991, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and his wife Constancia Mangue travelled to Bangkok to meet Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on 13-16 March. Trade between the two countries has rocketed, from US$6.4 million in 2011 to $53.3 mn. in 2012. The Presidents discussions centred on trade, agriculture, construction and energy.
