Jammeh's long goodbye

Jubilation at the departure of ex-President Yahya Jammeh was stained with suspicion and anger as the story spread that he had been granted immunity from prosecution and had plundered the exchequer. The presidents acting for the Economic Community of West African States did offer him immunity, we understand. That may not have legal weight, however, and even if it saves him prosecution from Ecowas, it does not protect him from possible prosecution by the International Criminal Court.
