Ghana's chance

Ghana's Ambassador in Brussels, Nana Berna Kumi, is leading in an increasingly hard fought battle there for the post of Secretary General of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of countries. It's an important time for the ACP, which has been locked in difficult discussions with the European Union about trade reform, particularly over the controversial Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs). Ghana's new Trade and Industry Minister, Hanna S. Tetteh (see Feature), is committed to negotiating the reform of these new arrangements with the EU.
