Integrity in question

Claims that the World Bank’s Vice-President for Integrity and former head of South Africa’s Scorpions anti-corruption unit, Leonard McCarthy, used his position to pursue political vendettas against African National Congress President Jacob Zuma are, we hear, to be discussed by Finance Minister Trevor Manuel and World Bank President Robert Zoellick in Washington next week. The claims were made by the Acting Director of the National Prosecuting Authority, Mokotedi Mpshe, on 6 April when he announced the dropping of the NPA’s case against Zuma.
