It’s not cricket

On 4 August, Zimbabwe announced its return from the cricketing wilderness, playing – and winning – its first international for over five years, a test match against Bangladesh. Zimbabwe excluded itself from test cricket in 2006 after a strike by mainly white players over race-related team selection. Cricket-lovers, however, have pointed out that most of the management and financial problems have changed little since before the self-imposed exile.
