Africa's run at the Bank

Incoming President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim has two bulky Africa dossiers in his in-tray after seeing off – thanks to solid backing from the United States and Europe – his Nigerian challenger, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. President Kim will have to pacify those African governments, along with many activists outside the continent, who see him as having won a contest stitched up by rich Western countries.
