Belgian-based Groupe George Forrest has energetically rejected reports by a United Nations panel of experts and international human rights groups criticising its mining operations in Congo-Kinshasa as exploitative and linking them to the conflict there. A coalition of European and Congolese corporate monitoring groups is to send a dossier on George Forrest's Congo-K operations to Belgium's Trade and Industry Ministry, claiming the company breaches the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) code of conduct.
