This week, another former senior civil servant, Finance Ministry Permanent Secretary Wilfred Koinange, accused ex-President Daniel arap Moi of ordering an illegal transfer of US$76 million of state funds to the company Goldenberg International for imaginary gold and diamond exports. This follows a similar allegation by Professor Philip Mbithi, former civil service chief and former head of Moi's office. Both were speaking publicly at the commission of inquiry into Goldenberg.
