Career: Chief of Women's and Children's Affairs Coordination Unit, Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs; Minister of Gender and Development, 2003 to date.

Commentary: One of President Johnson-Sirleaf's star ministers. As Minister in previous government, she set up a special police unit to protect women and children. Sirleaf sees her ministry as symbolically (as well as practically) important.
