Tokyo’s Africa aid birthday

The Japan International Cooperation Agency celebrated twenty years of international assistance to African countries at the United Nations University on 30 November. JICA’s African Department is working on an analysis of the successes and failures of Japan’s aid policy, whilst diplomats are preparing for the June 2013 Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD V) in Yokohama.
