The biggest trades union, the 365,000-member National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa, is confident of reversing its expulsion from the Confederation of South African Trade Unions. On 18 May, NUMSA is due to go to the South Gauteng High Court to try to set aside Cosatu President Sdumo Dlamini's November decision to expel it.
