Less Blair for Africa

Never known for keeping a low profile, British former Prime Minister Tony Blair has been in the news again with the launch of his Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI). The modestly named new body, launched in March, aims to 'combat frightening authoritarian populism' and will subsume Blair's other enterprises, including his Africa Governance Initiative. The AGI has been working with selected governments on implementing the 'visions' of their leaders since Blair resigned the UK premiership in 2007.
