Rwanda

Border tension grows

Relations between Rwanda and Uganda have been steadily declining and reached a new low after Kigali briefly closed the busiest border crossing at Gatuna and reportedly deployed defensively along the border. Foreign ministers of both countries traded accusations with Kigali claiming that the crisis had been brought on by Uganda's treatment of Rwandan nationals and unfair trade practices.
