Less bashing for bribers

UK businesses lobbying against the new Bribery Act seem to be having some success (see Confidential Agenda, week ending 28 January). The government has postponed implementation of the Act, already delayed for six months, until June. The Ministry of Justice now says the Act will come into force at the same time as it publishes the all-important 'guidance notes' on what Whitehall expects companies to do to prevent bribery.
