The inquest into the death of General Solomon Mujuru has closed on 6 February after hearing 39 witnesses. The evidence left after the raging inferno that killed him yielded no smoking gun or other positive signs of foul play (AC Vol 52 No 17, The kingmaker general dies at Alamein & The police fail to protect). What did emerge was that at the time of the fire, most of his police detail were asleep, their phones were off and the forensic evidence and post-mortem were mishandled.
