Rebel against rebel – against the rest

Tuareg separatists of the Mouvement national de la libération de l’Azawad are in a bitter struggle with a jihadist faction – Iyad ag Ghali and his Ansar Eddine group. Ag Ghali has emerged as a committed Salafist and declared his intention to put all Mali under Sharia (Islamic law), angering the MNLA with which he had launched the revolt against the Bamako government.
