Laughter in adversity

President Moi's Kenya now has a lousy reputation in Washington DC. Its reputation has suffered in the debate, sparked by Smith Hempstone's well reviewed memoirs, 'Rogue Ambassador's, in top-notch papers such as the Washington Post, National Interest and Foreign Affairs. Hempstone gives details of his tribulations as US Ambassador in 1989-93.
