Khmercenaries

As French troops prepare to quit on 15 April, mercenaries are hovering - or so President Ange- Félix Patassé told the French daily Libération of 10 March: 'Mercenaries are being recruited in Belgium and France to overthrow me'. They were run not by 'official, democratic France' but by the 'France nostalgic for the past which wants at any price to keep its neo-colonial bastion', he claimed. Patassé seemed to mean the late Jacques Foccart's 'networks'.
