Congo guns

In the heaviest fighting since November 1994's ceasefire, the Forças Armadas de Angola have pounded positions of Jonas Savimbi's União Nacional para a Independência Total de Angola in diamond-rich Lunda Norte. Fighting with mortars and Katyushka rockets is reported by witnesses, including some 2,500 displaced civilians arriving in Nzaje, about 90 kilometres south-east of Dundo on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
