Rape row

A diplomatic row has erupted over the failure of the United Nations and African Union to investigate reports that Sudanese troops and allied militia raped some 200 women and children in Darfur on 31 October. Insiders say some senior officials from the UN and AU, which operate the hybrid Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), have blocked successive efforts to take action.
