Bye bye Bayelsa

The first stage of President Olusegun Obasanjo's operation 'Restore Hope' against Bayelsa State Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha is over with the impeaching of the beleaguered Governor by the State's House of Assembly on 9 December. Increasingly it looks like part of a bigger plan to pacify and reshape the politics of the Niger Delta.
