Attorney General Amos Wako's delays in prosecuting officials accused of involvement in the Anglo Leasing scandals (AC Vol 45 No 11) means the Kenyan courts may dismiss the cases this month. This news emerges just as Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Justice Minister Martha Karua condemned their own coalition government for its lack of seriousness in the war against corruption. Odinga called for the return of exiled anti-corruption czar, John Githongo.
