Congo-Kinshasa's Commission Electorale Indépendante (CEI) and the country's main financial donors are sure that the first round of the presidential poll, and the election of 500 deputies to the National Assembly, will take place on schedule. But, if most Congolese are keen to vote, many of those taking part seem strangely uninvolved, and arguments rage over the legitimacy of the government during this long-awaited 'final' stage of transition.
