Consolidation and growth

As Africa posts its strongest economic growth for two decades on the back of buoyant commodity prices, the continent's banks are also thriving. Recent financial reforms have shaken out and then strengthened local banks. Several foreign banks are planning to buy African operations or at least take substantial stakes in them.
