No go for Greens

Rwanda's Supreme Court was due to begin hearings on 23 September on whether the constitution could be changed to allow President Paul Kagame to stand for a third seven-year term in 2017. Kagame has not said he will run but there is little doubt he will and a petition has been compiled with 3.8 million signatures urging him to stay on. The law suit challenging it was brought by the tiny Democratic Green Party.
