Turkish drones suspected in Kivus

Officials in Kinshasa have doubled down on claims that drones manufactured in Turkey, China and elsewhere have been used by Rwanda and the M23 militia group to launch attacks in eastern Congo-Kinshasa. Sources tell Africa Confidential that Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones were used to conduct strikes across multiple locations in North and South Kivu on 4-5 July, based on technical assessments.
