The threat to the economy from the indigenisation policy is becoming a big issue but for Mugabe’s party it’s non-negotiable

The Minister of Economic Planning and Investment Promotion laid it on the line: 'As long as the Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Act remains in its current form,' warned Tapiwa Mashakada, 'investment will not flow in... It's an elephant in the living room. We can't market the country with this legislation. The sooner we amend or replace it, the better.'
