Corrupt but open

The parliamentary caucus of the governing Chama cha Mapinduzi is demanding that eight cabinet ministers resign after the Controller and Auditor General issued a damning report on government corruption and financial laxity. This followed the threat by Zitto Kabwe, a member of parliament from the opposition Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema), to move a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda.
