In and out

Sudan's project to make its presence felt at the United Nations continues, despite UN sanctions against it. After winning a vice-presidency of the UN Human Rights Commission in March, Sudan's Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed on 16 May won the Africa group vice-presidency of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organisations, which belongs to the UN Economic and Social Council.
