Bye bye magic money tree

When central bank Governor Valter Filipe da Silva took the platform at a meeting on Angola's financial sector on 5 July, some listened to him describe the government's efforts to restore the availability of foreign currency but others were glued to their smartphones. A list of debtors to Angola's biggest bank, the state-owned Banco de Poupança e Crédito, had just been leaked.
