Mswati sidesteps reform

Namibian President Hage Geingob is the latest leader assigned by the Southern African Development Community to wade into Eswatini's political quagmire. Before Geingob, President Cyril Ramaphosa was the one to face the stonewalling King Mswati III. It's over a year now since the King promised to engage in dialogue to end the political crisis that culminated in mass protests in June 2021 in which the security forces killed 67 people.
