HH tries to take Lungu out of the game

The President is so fearful for his re-election prospects that he is using threats and inducements to persuade his former foe to leave politics

Although he beat ex-President Edgar Lungu by a landslide in the 2021 election, President Hakainde Hichilema believes his old enemy is an obstacle to his hopes of re-election in the polls set for August 2026, and he is moving mountains to remove him from the political scene using first threats, and now inducements.
