SACP threatens JZ

The South African Communist Party intends to withdraw its members from President Jacob Zuma's cabinet if he goes through with the sacking of Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, party sources have told Africa Confidential. Meanwhile, the party is labelling the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) new enthusiasm for Zuma's 'left turn' as naked opportunism, even though Julius Malema's party could be attracting young leftists away from the SACP.
