Never mind the politics, feel the revenues

Dodoma exudes confidence on economic growth and investment, despite European critics of rights abuses

The fallout from the stolen election of President Samia Suluhu Hassan and the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) last October, and the mass killing of protestors, has neither cut trade nor deterred investors in Tanzania’s natural resources, despite the European Union’s half-hearted attempts to impose sanctions and some threats from the United States Congress. East Africa’s third-largest economy remains on track for 6% growth this year.
