The military stalemate has persuaded US officials to join pressure for negotiations to reunify the country

There is a new drive in Washington's Libya policy. As the military stalemate continues, the new United States ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, who took up the post on 14 August, has stepped up efforts for talks on a settlement between the warring factions.??
