Elections look unlikely again this year. After the eastern-based House of Representatives (HoR) blamed the failure of the December 2021 presidential elections on Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dubaiba's Tripoli-based Government of National Unity (GNU), 2022 ended with Libya still divided in the same three ways that have applied for eight years.
