No bang (this time)

The authorities have tried to hush up a break-in that took place at South Africa’s largest nuclear research centre, the Pelindaba facility near Pretoria, on 28 April. The Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Regulator are investigating. The plant stores about 600 kilogrammes of weapons-grade uranium for research and medical purposes.
