Security worsens

The head of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency, General Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, quit on 25 March amid growing fears about security in Mogadishu. The capital suffered its most serious terrorist incident in months on 18 March, when ten people were killed by a suicide car bomber near the National Theatre, an area frequented by returnees from the diaspora and civil servants.
