Tight fight 

The African National Congress and Inkatha Freedom Party face a close-run race in kwaZulu- Natal. Earlier this year, the ANC was accusing both the IFP (AC Vol 37 No 11) and National Party of fraud in the run-up to the local elections due on 26 June. After a one-month postponement of the poll and a last-minute drive to register voters, it is the turn of Inkatha and the NP to accuse the ANC of rigging.
