Old guards try new uniforms

The country's new leaders are showing a lack of zeal in prosecuting historic crimes while trying to compromise judicial independence

Six months into the presidency of Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, frustration is mounting with a government that appears to have no idea how to pull the country out of its post-transition morass. There is a danger of reverting to the bad old ways of Kaboré's mentor and predecessor, Blaise Compaoré .
