Allowance alliance

Members of parliament of the opposition National Super Alliance (Nasa) have boycotted the National Assembly since August's controversial elections, bringing legislative business to a halt. But when the chance to reverse some of the cuts to MPs' pay and allowances arose there was an outbreak of bipartisanship with their counterparts in the governing Jubilee party and they returned to the chamber.
