The Muslim Brotherhood affiliate Ennahda dominated the decade after the fall of President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, but in successive governments it failed to revive the faltering economy or to create a stable polity. It couldn't even rely on a functioning constitutional court to rule on disputes.
