Bio wanted more brio

As Julius Maada Bio reshapes his government in the wake of the disputed results of the 24 June election giving him a second term, his new team is dealing with the fall-out: both the deepening confrontation with the opposition All People's Congress (APC), which refuses to recognise Bio's legitimacy, and those western countries calling for an independent assessment of the voting. Maada Bio, of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) won 56.17% of the vote just above the 55% threshold needed to avoid a runoff.
